Description

The 1911 platform has been around for over a century, and Tisas has done something a lot of companies at this price level haven't figured out yet: they built it right. The Night Stalker SF starts with a fully forged steel frame and slide — not cast, not MIM-heavy — giving you a foundation that holds up under real use and contributes to the flat, smooth shooting the 1911 format is known for. The cold hammer-forged barrel with button rifling is threaded at 1/2×28 TPI, so it's suppressor-ready without any extra machining or barrel swaps.

The slide is optic-ready with a 507K/RMSc footprint cut directly into the top, and it ships with suppressor-height Glock-cut U-notch night sights — a tritium-illuminated front in a dovetail mount and a matching rear — so you have usable iron sights whether or not a red dot is mounted. The integrated Picatinny rail under the dust cover means a weapon light is just a clamp away. Between the threaded barrel, optic cut, and rail, Tisas has taken care of the three most common upgrades people drop money on right from the factory.

On the controls side, you get an SF-style skeletonized trigger, a skeletonized hammer, ambidextrous thumb safety, and an extended beavertail grip safety. The frame is finished in Platinum Grey Cerakote, which holds up well to handling and holster wear. Internals are based on the Colt Series 70 design — a simple, proven setup with fewer parts than later Series 80 guns — and the ejection port is lowered and flared for reliable case ejection. The machined aluminum grips look sharp, though they're on the slicker side and are an easy swap if you prefer something with more texture.

This one makes a lot of sense for the 1911 fan who wants a suppressor-host, a home defense pistol, or just a well-equipped range gun without building one part by part. It ships with two magazines, a cleaning kit, and a lockable hard case.

Frequently Asked Questions

What optics will fit the Night Stalker SF slide cut?

The slide is milled for the 507K and RMSc footprint, which covers popular compact red dots like the Holosun 507K, Shield RMSc, and several others in that mounting family. It's a widely supported footprint, so you have solid options across multiple price points. Just double-check your specific optic's mounting footprint before ordering a mount or plate.

Is the Night Stalker SF threaded barrel ready for a suppressor right out of the box?

Yes. The barrel is threaded at 1/2×28 TPI, which is the standard thread pitch for 9mm suppressors in the US. The pistol also ships with suppressor-height night sights, so your irons co-witness properly with a can mounted. You won't need to buy a new barrel or have any machining done.

What magazines does the Tisas 1911 Night Stalker SF use?

It uses standard single-stack 1911 9mm magazines. The pistol ships with two magazines and is also compatible with quality aftermarket 1911 9mm mags from brands like Mec-Gar, which are widely available and well regarded. Capacity on the included mags is 8+1.

How does the Night Stalker SF shoot compared to other 1911s in this price range?

The forged frame and slide give it a solid, quality feel that you don't always get at this price point, and the cold hammer-forged barrel contributes to strong accuracy. The single-action trigger is a genuine 1911 feel with a clean break and short reset. Multiple reviews and range reports have noted that this pistol shoots impressively flat and accurately for what it costs.

What is the warranty on the Tisas Night Stalker SF?

Tisas USA backs this pistol with a 1-Year Limited Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship from the original purchase date. Beyond that, they offer a Lifetime Service Plan that covers material defects for the life of the firearm. It's a solid warranty package for a gun in this price range.

Can I attach a weapon light to the Night Stalker SF?

Yes. The frame has a built-in Picatinny rail under the dust cover, so any weapon light or laser with a Picatinny-compatible mount will work. This is a factory feature, not an aftermarket addition, which is a nice touch at this price level.
