The forged steel frame and slide are hardened before machining, which gives the gun a denser, more precisely fitted feel than you get from cast construction. The 5-inch cold hammer-forged barrel is ramped, feeds a wide variety of ammunition reliably, and contributes to the tight accuracy this platform is known for. The whole package is finished in Platinum Gray Cerakote, which holds up well against the elements and gives it a clean, tactical look without being flashy.
The controls and ergonomics are where Tisas clearly spent time on this one. The SF-style trigger, skeletonized hammer, ambidextrous thumb safety, and extended beavertail grip safety are all upgrades that used to cost real money when added to a base 1911. The contoured trigger guard undercut lets you ride the grip high for better control and reduced muzzle flip. Rear slide cocking serrations give you solid purchase for press checks and emergency manipulations, while the lowered and flared ejection port keeps spent brass moving in one direction consistently. Machined aluminum grips finish the look and keep the overall weight reasonable at around 2 lbs 4 oz.
One of the more practical features on this gun is the tritium front night sight paired with a Novak-style U-notch rear. The orange ring around the tritium vial makes daylight acquisition fast, and the tritium element does its job in low-light without any batteries or setup. The integrated four-slot Picatinny rail on the dust cover is built to MIL-STD-1913 spec, so mounting a weapon light or laser is straightforward. The Night Stalker runs on Colt Series 70-based internals, which means the parts ecosystem is enormous and any experienced 1911 gunsmith will know exactly what they are looking at.

Yes. The Night Stalker is built on Colt Series 70-based internals, which means the vast majority of standard 1911 aftermarket parts are compatible. Any experienced 1911 gunsmith will be right at home working on it. The slide's sight dovetails are cut to the popular Novak pattern, so aftermarket sight options are wide open as well.
Tisas covers the Night Stalker with a one-year limited warranty on materials and workmanship from the date of original retail purchase. After that first year, the Lifetime Service Plan kicks in, which covers material defects for the life of the firearm. Wear items are excluded from the lifetime plan, which is pretty standard across the industry.
Absolutely. The Night Stalker has an integrated four-slot Picatinny rail on the dust cover that's built to MIL-STD-1913 spec. Most compact weapon lights and lasers designed for a rail will fit without any modification. Just verify your specific light's rail clamp dimensions before buying.
The standard Night Stalker in this configuration (MPN 10100512) is not optics-ready and does not have a slide cut for a red dot optic. It comes with iron sights featuring a tritium front and Novak-style rear. If an optic-ready slide cut is important to you, Tisas does offer other Night Stalker variants with that feature.
The Night Stalker ships with two standard 8-round .45 ACP single-stack 1911 magazines. Because it uses a standard 1911 single-stack frame, it is compatible with a wide range of aftermarket .45 ACP 1911 magazines from brands like Wilson Combat, Chip McCormick, and Metalform, as long as they are built to standard 1911 single-stack specs.
Platinum Gray Cerakote is a polymer-ceramic coating that is significantly more corrosion- and abrasion-resistant than blued or parkerized finishes. One thing worth knowing is that if Cerakote is applied to the frame rails, it can make the action feel a bit stiff when the pistol is new. That is completely normal and it smooths out with a proper break-in as the coating wears on the bearing surfaces.
