Timney has been building triggers for the better part of 80 years, and the Ultimate Builder's Kit brings that experience to your Glock. Built off the Alpha Competition platform, this is the Pivot Shoe version, which swaps the usual external finger safety blade for an internal pivoting safety hidden inside the straight aluminum trigger face. The result is a clean, flat trigger with a wider, more comfortable feel than the factory plastic, and a break that lands in the 2.5 to 3 pound range right out of the box.
What sets the UBK apart from a standalone trigger is that Timney tuned the whole system to work as one. Rather than dropping in a new shoe and hoping your old parts play nice, this kit includes a stainless steel striker cut to match the geometry of the Alpha sear, a tool steel safety plunger matched to the trigger bar, plus a striker spring, connector, and safety plunger spring. Everything is heat treated and NP3 coated, a Teflon-nickel finish that kills friction on the trigger bar and sear and adds a layer of corrosion resistance while it's at it.
Most folks describe the pull as a light two-stage feel: a bit of take-up, then a firm, defined wall and a crisp break that sits right around 3 pounds.
