Everything arrives factory tuned and ready to run. The pull is set to a light 2 lb weight across both stages, so there's no fitting, filing, or gunsmithing needed to get the feel Timney dialed in at the shop. The internals are machined from 6061-T6 anodized alloy with heat-treated steel components, and the whole thing wears a sharp Black and Red finish that looks right at home in a competition-focused lower. It's proudly made in the USA and backed by Timney's reputation for triggers that hold up to a real round count.
Installation is about as painless as trigger swaps get. The unit uses your carbine's existing hammer and trigger pins along with your current safety, so you're not hunting for extra parts. Drop it into the trigger well, reinstall your pins, snug down the two lock screws with the included 5/64 Allen wrench, run a function check in both safe and fire, and you're set. A base plate keeps the setscrews from marring your receiver during the process.
One thing worth knowing: this trigger is built for AR-pattern PCCs and is not designed to work in the Sig Sauer MPX or Aero Precision EPC9. If you're running a standard AR-9 or AR-40 style lower and want a lighter, more precise two-stage feel, the 682ST is a straightforward upgrade that pays off every time you're behind the gun.
