The body is machined from lightweight alloy with hardened steel working surfaces, which is where that crisp, no-creep break comes from. It leaves the factory set right around 3 pounds and is fully adjustable for pull weight, sear engagement, and overtravel. Most folks find the sear and overtravel are dialed in perfectly from Timney and only need a small tweak to the pull weight screw to land on their preferred feel.
