You use your rifle's original .154" hammer and trigger pins, and Timney's design keeps those pins from rotating or walking out under recoil. Guts of the Targa Short

This is where Timney earns its reputation. The housing is CNC-machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and anodized for durability, wearing that signature black shoe on a red housing. The hammer is wire EDM cut from S7 tool steel with a Teflon-nickel coating for smoothness, and the rest of the internals are cut from A2 tool steel and heat-treated to Rockwell 58. That combination is what gives you a break that stays consistent shot after shot and holds up over the long haul.

Fitment for the Targa Short

The curved shoe and small .154" pin size make this compatible with mil-spec AR-15 and AR-10 lowers.
