Description
The Timber Creek Outdoors GLEMRT extends the magazine release button on your Glock 17 or 19 just enough to matter. It's machined from aircraft-grade billet aluminum and finished in tungsten anodizing, giving you a durable part that can handle regular use at the range or in the field.
CNC Machined For Precision
Unlike molded plastic parts, this release is precision-machined and textured to give you solid tactile feedback when you press it. The textured surface helps ensure you get positive engagement when dropping a mag under stress. The anodized finish resists wear and corrosion, so it'll hold up whether you're shooting indoors or outdoors.
Better Ergonomics Without the Hassle
The extended design means you can actuate the release with a thumb movement while keeping your shooting grip intact. If you have average-to-larger hands, you'll notice the difference immediately. The design doesn't stick out so far that it's going to catch on holsters or furniture, but it's extended enough that you won't have to adjust your hand position or break your grip to drop a mag.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the GLEMRT work with my holster?
The extended release is designed with a moderate profile that works with most quality holsters. That said, retention and fit depend on your specific holster design. If you use a retention holster, test it with the new release to make sure it doesn't accidentally press the button when you draw or reholster. Most users with good holsters report no issues.
Is installation difficult?
No. This is a straightforward drop-in replacement. You'll remove the factory release, install the new button and screws, and you're done. An allen wrench is included. The whole job takes a few minutes and doesn't require gunsmith tools or special knowledge.
Does the extended release affect how my magazines seat?
Not at all. The extended release improves how easily you can press the button to drop a magazine, but it doesn't change how the magazine locks into the well. Magazine engagement and lockup are unaffected by this upgrade.
Can I use this on a Gen 3 Glock?
The GLEMRT is designed specifically for Gen 4 and Gen 5 platforms. Glock made internal changes to the magazine well between generations, so it won't fit Gen 3 models. If you own a Gen 3, check Timber Creek's lineup for their Gen 3 extended release instead.
