It replaces the limitations of the factory integral dovetail with a full-length Picatinny top, so you can run just about any Pic or Weaver scope rings and dial in your eye relief exactly where you want it. The rail fits the Tikka T3, T3 Lite, and T3x across all calibers, and it carries a 0 MOA cant that keeps your scope's adjustment near the center of its travel for typical hunting and range distances inside roughly 500 yards.

EGW machines this base from domestic 6061-T6 extruded aluminum, then tumbles, sandblasts, and Type II anodizes it in a matte black finish that holds up to real field use. The channel milled down the center trims weight without giving up rigidity, and in a lot of setups it leaves factory iron sights usable. Installing the 0 MOA Picatinny Base

This is a straightforward job with basic tools. The rail ships with #6-48 x 1/4 screws and a T-10 bit, which match Tikka rifles made after 2004. EGW recommends torquing the screws to 20 inch-pounds with a drip of blue thread locker to keep everything locked in under recoil. It's an ambidextrous design, so right or left-hand shooters are covered. The rail does not include a recoil lug, and on the T3x it simply covers the extra receiver hole without using it.
