TekMat AK-47 Cleaning Mat 12×36 with Parts Diagram

Description

Anyone who has ever tried to break down an AK on a bare kitchen table knows the drill: parts rolling off the edge, solvent soaking into the wood, and no good way to remember what goes back where. This TekMat solves all of that at once. At a full 12 inches by 36 inches, it gives you room to lay out a completely disassembled rifle with space left over for your brushes, punches, and cleaning rods.

The surface is a soft thermoplastic fiber top that resists water, oil, and solvents, so grease and CLP wipe up instead of soaking in and staining. Underneath, a 1/8-inch vulcanized rubber backing adds cushion and keeps the mat planted on your bench so it does not slide around while you are wrenching on a stubborn gas tube. That padding also gives small parts and pins a soft place to land instead of bouncing across the floor.

What Makes This AK-47 TekMat Worth the Bench Space

The printed graphic is the real draw here. TekMat uses a dye-sublimation printing process that bakes the ink right into the fibers, so the diagram will not crack, peel, or fade the way silkscreened mats do. On this AK-47 mat you get a clear, full-color exploded parts diagram alongside a bit of history on the rifle, which makes it a genuinely useful reference whether you are new to the platform or just tired of guessing which detent goes where.

Keeping Your AK-47 Cleaning Mat in Shape

When the mat gets grimy from a heavy session, it is machine-washable, so you can toss it in and have it looking fresh again. The stitched edges help it hold up over time and resist fraying, and when you are done it rolls up for easy storage next to the rest of your kit. It works for the whole family of AK and AKM pattern rifles, not just a specific variant, so it earns its keep at any bench where a Kalashnikov gets cleaned.
