The Thompson Center 3140R forend is the factory walnut front end made specifically for the Encore muzzleloader platform. If you run a 209×50 in-line Encore and want a warm, classic wood look up front, this is the piece that gets you there without the fiddling that comes with off-brand replacements. It's inletted to match the muzzleloader barrel contour, so the fit lines up the way it should right out of the package.
The beauty of the whole Encore system is how easy it is to change things around. You pull the two screws holding the forend, tap out the hinge pin, and the barrel drops free. That means this forend is exactly what you want if you're switching a rifle or shotgun Encore over to a muzzleloader barrel, since the different barrel configurations each call for their own matching forend. Grab the right one and the swap takes a few minutes at the bench.
