Designed by Larry Vickers and built by TangoDown, this kit gives you two additional rounds and extends your magazine to a full-sized grip. You go from 6+1 to 8+1, and your pinky finally has room on the frame. The extended floorplate is injection molded from the same durable polymer used in Glock magazines, so it matches the look and feel of your factory hardware.
Each kit includes everything you need to modify one magazine. You get an extended floorplate, a floorplate retainer, and a longer heat-treated stainless steel spring that handles the extra rounds without compromise. Installation takes just a few minutes once you pop off the factory floorplate. The spring is noticeably stiffer than stock, which guarantees that full eighth round locks the slide back every time.
TangoDown machines these to tight tolerances and finishes them to match factory Glock plastic. The stainless steel spring is where the real engineering shows. Installation is straightforward. You remove the factory floorplate by depressing the retainer, swap in the new spring and extended floorplate, and reinstall the retainer. The trickiest part is getting the factory plate off without losing the spring. A small C-clamp placed on the mag tabs helps. Most people finish in less than five minutes once they get the hang of it.
Yes. The included spring is engineered specifically for the +2 capacity and handles the extra tension needed to support two additional rounds. The eighth round will be snug going in, but that's normal with extended mags. Once the spring breaks in slightly from use, loading becomes easier.
