Description

The TangoDown Vickers Tactical Carry Trigger, better known as the VTCT, is one of those upgrades that punches well above its weight. Designed with input from Larry Vickers, it swaps your stock curved Glock trigger for a flat-faced shape that gives you a bigger, more consistent surface to press against. The result is a trigger that feels lighter than stock even though it keeps the same factory take-up you already trust for carry. That flat face also helps you press straight back instead of nudging the muzzle off to one side, which is where a lot of misses come from.

What Sets the VTCT Carry Trigger Apart

What makes this one different from a lot of the aftermarket crowd is the material. The entire trigger assembly is injection molded from the same polymer Glock uses on its factory triggers, so it won't conduct heat during a long range day and won't abrade or wear on your frame the way some aluminum triggers with metal safeties can. The pivot pins are 17-4 stainless steel and splined for solid retention. There are no set screws or adjustments to back out on you, since all the geometry is molded right into the piece. The design also removes the vertical ridge running down the middle of the stock trigger, so your finger stays comfortable after a few hundred rounds.

Fitment for Your Gen 3 or Gen 4 Glock

This is the VTCT-001, built specifically for Gen 3 and Gen 4 pistols. It fits the full range of models including the G17, G19, G26, and the smaller G42, across the common Glock chamberings. It does not fit Gen 5 guns or the 19X, so if you're running one of those you'll want the VTCT-002 instead.

TangoDown recommends having the trigger installed by a certified Glock armorer, and after any trigger work the trigger bar and firing pin engagement should be checked before you carry or shoot. It's a quick swap for anyone comfortable working on a Glock, but a professional install is the safe call. For folks who want a better trigger feel without going down a full custom fire control rabbit hole, the VTCT hits a sweet spot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Vickers Tactical Carry Trigger fit my Glock?

This is the VTCT-001, which fits Glock Gen 3 and Gen 4 pistols including the G17, G19, G26, and the compact G42 across the common Glock calibers. It will not work on Gen 5 models or the 19X, which need the separate VTCT-002 version. If you're unsure of your generation, check the marking on the frame or ask us and we'll help sort it out.

Does this trigger make the pull lighter?

It keeps the same mechanical take-up as your factory Glock trigger, so the actual pull weight stays close to stock. The flat face and larger contact surface give a perceived lighter, cleaner press because you get more leverage and can press straight back. TangoDown also shortened the over-travel, which tightens up the reset for faster follow-up shots.

Is the Vickers Tactical Carry Trigger a drop-in install?

The swap itself is quick for anyone comfortable detail-stripping a Glock, and it uses the included connector pin. That said, TangoDown recommends having it installed by a certified Glock armorer. After any trigger work, the trigger bar and firing pin engagement should be inspected before you load and carry the gun.

Will a polymer trigger hold up as well as a metal one?

It's built from the same polymer Glock uses for its factory triggers, so durability is on par with what came on your pistol from the factory. A nice side benefit is that it won't heat up during long range sessions and won't wear or abrade your frame the way some aluminum triggers can. With no set screws or adjustments to loosen, there's less to go wrong over time.
