The TangoDown BGV-MK46K is the shortened cousin of the popular BGV-MK46 Battlegrip, built for folks running compact carbines, PDWs, and breaching shotguns where every inch of rail space counts. It shaves length off the full-size version and drops the pressure switch pocket, giving you a lean, tough handhold that shines with extended support-hand and C-clamp shooting styles. Rounded, ribbed sides keep your hand comfortable through long stretches in the ready position without the cramping you get on cheaper grips.
At roughly 3.43 inches long and around 2.56 ounces, this thing is short and light enough that it won't hang up on vehicle gun racks or throw off the balance of a stubby build. The impact-modified polymer construction is the same bombproof material TangoDown is known for, and it holds up to recoil, drops, and the punishing pump cycles of a breaching shotgun. It's made in the USA and backed by TangoDown's reputation for gear that just works when you need it.
The dual locking bar mounting system clamps down on MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails for a secure, wobble-free fit. No shifting, no rattle, just a dependable point of control that stays put. A pair of Grip Chips comes included to make installation and fine-tuning easier, so dialing in the position on your handguard is quick and painless.
Inside the grip you'll find a waterproof storage compartment sealed with an O-ring screw cap. It's sized right for a spare set of optic or laser batteries, small parts, or anything else you want to keep dry and close at hand. It's a smart touch that turns wasted grip space into something genuinely handy in the field. If you're building a tight, no-nonsense carbine or shotgun and want a grip that punches above its size, the Flat Dark Earth BGV-MK46K is a strong pick.
No, the short version leaves out the pressure switch pocket found on the full-size BGV-MK46. That deletion is what keeps it compact and lightweight. If you need an integrated tape switch channel, the standard-length MK46 is the better fit.
It mounts to any MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail using the dual locking bar system. The design clamps down tight for a wobble-free, secure hold. Keep in mind some proprietary rails may need adjustment before standard accessories will slide on.
The internal compartment is sealed with an O-ring screw cap and measures about 3.18 by 0.75 inches. It's a great spot for a spare set of optic or laser batteries, small tools, or minor spare parts. The waterproof seal keeps everything dry in wet conditions.
Yes, it's a popular pick for breaching shotguns thanks to its short profile and tough construction. The dual locking bar mount holds up to the repeated impact and pump cycles those platforms dish out. It's equally at home on MK18-style carbines and PDW builds.
