The Tanfoglio Force Tactical isn't just a .22 LR with some tactical cosmetics slapped on it. It's a full-size rimfire pistol built on the same CZ 75-style polymer frame that Tanfoglio uses across its centerfire lineup. The slide actually rides inside the frame rails rather than riding on the outside, which gives you that lower bore axis, tighter fit, and the naturally pointable feel the CZ 75 platform is known for. If you've ever shot a Tanfoglio or CZ-style pistol and loved the way it handled, the Force Tactical is going to feel very familiar.
The DA/SA trigger with ambidextrous frame-mounted safety is a practical setup for a training pistol. The double-action capability is especially useful in a rimfire because it gives you a second-strike option if a round doesn't ignite on the first try, which is a real-world advantage with .22 LR ammo. The aluminum slide keeps reciprocating mass low enough to cycle reliably with the mild pressures of rimfire cartridges, and lightening cuts milled into the front of the slide help balance the whole package.
The 4.40" bull barrel is threaded at 1/2×28 TPI and includes a knurled thread protector, so it's suppressor-ready without any gunsmithing. The barrel protrudes slightly beyond the slide, which also means the sights sit high enough to clear most standard rimfire cans. The adjustable rear sight lets you dial in your zero for different ammo types or distances, which matters more with .22 LR than people often expect. You're training with the same grip angle, the same DA/SA trigger, and the same ambidextrous safety layout, just with the much lower cost and recoil of .22 LR.
The barrel is threaded at 1/2×28 TPI, which is the most common thread pitch for .22 LR suppressors and rimfire cans in the US market. A knurled thread protector is included. The bull barrel protrudes slightly beyond the slide, and the sights sit high enough to clear most standard-diameter rimfire suppressors without issue.
The DA/SA setup is a deliberate advantage for a rimfire pistol. Because .22 LR rimfire primers can occasionally be finicky, the double-action mode allows you to attempt a second strike on a dud round without manually cycling the slide.
