The Ruger Mark IV platform is already one of the best .22 LR pistols ever made, and the Pac-Lite IV from Tactical Solutions is the upper that takes it to another level. This is a complete barrel and receiver assembly machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, with a chromoly steel bore that's hand-chambered for .22 LR and finished with an 11-degree target crown. The weight savings over the factory steel upper are significant, and that shift in balance makes a real difference in how the gun handles and points.
The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard for .22 LR suppressors and compensators, and a 1" outside diameter gives it a clean, uniform look whether you're running a can or not. The receiver is drilled and tapped to accept Tactical Solutions' Pac-Lite scope bases, so adding a red dot or a compact scope is a straightforward option down the road. The included blade ramp front and adjustable rear sights are solid for iron sight use right out of the box.
Installation on a Mark IV or Mark IV 22/45 frame is genuinely simple. The upper swaps onto your existing frame, bolt, and mainspring housing without any special tools or a trip to a gunsmith. Keep in mind this is a serialized receiver, so it transfers the same way a complete firearm does through your FFL.

No, the Pac-Lite IV is specifically designed for the Ruger Mark IV and Mark IV 22/45 platforms only. It will not fit the earlier Mark I, II, or III series frames. If you have an older Mark-series pistol, Tactical Solutions makes a separate Pac-Lite model for those platforms.
