If you've ever had a sling slide off your shoulder at the worst possible moment, the Tac Shield Precision Rifle Sling was built to fix exactly that. The heart of this sling is the padded Tac-Grip shoulder section, made from laser-cut Mil-Spec laminated Cordura blended with closed-cell foam and a non-slip Tac-Grip surface. That combination grabs onto your jacket or shirt and holds tight, so your rifle stays parked where you put it instead of creeping down your arm on a long walk to the stand or between stages.
Grip is the whole story here. The Tac-Grip material bites into technical clothing and hunting coats in both wet and dry conditions, which is a real difference maker when you're moving through brush, glassing a hillside, or hauling gear over uneven ground. The closed-cell foam padding spreads the weight of a heavier precision rig across your shoulder, so it wears comfortably even after hours on your feet.
This is a two-point sling with a Fast Adjust slider, so you can go from a loose, comfortable carry to a tight, locked-in shooting position with one quick pull. Cinch it down for a stable supported shot, then loosen it back up for the walk to your next spot. It's the kind of hardware that stays out of your way until you need it, then does its job without fuss.
The Precision Rifle Sling ships with USA-made stud QD swivels for a secure attachment to standard sling studs, so it drops onto most bolt guns and hunting rifles without extra parts. Tac Shield builds this one in the USA and stands behind it with a lifetime warranty, which tells you plenty about how it's meant to hold up. In this Reaper Green Cordura finish, it looks right at home on a precision or field rifle.
It comes with USA-made stud QD swivels, so it attaches to any rifle with standard sling studs. That covers most bolt-action precision rifles and traditional hunting rifles right out of the package. If your rifle already has sling studs, you're good to go with no extra hardware.
No, this is the Traditional two-point model in the PRS Tac-Grip line. It uses the same Tac-Grip non-slip pad and Fast Adjust slider, but it carries as a standard shoulder sling rather than an over-the-head or full-body strap. If you want the retention system with two carry options, that's the separate Hands Free model.
That's the main reason this sling exists. The Tac-Grip surface is designed to grip technical clothing and hunting coats in wet or dry conditions, so it holds its spot on your shoulder instead of slipping down. It makes a noticeable difference on long walks and when carrying a heavier precision rig.
The Fast Adjust slider lets you go from a relaxed carry to a tight, locked-down shooting position with a single pull. Cinch it up for a stable supported shot, then loosen it back for comfortable carry. It's quick enough to use in the moment without taking your focus off the target.
