The TacFire SSRK556LPK takes the guesswork out of sourcing parts by putting the whole upper package and lower internals together in one shipment. It's built around a 16-inch M4 contour barrel chambered for 5.56 NATO, finished in nitride for corrosion resistance and a slick surface that's easy to keep clean. The muzzle is threaded 1/2"x28 and comes wearing a birdcage flash hider with a crush washer, so you can hang it on your stripped lower and get to work without hunting down odds and ends.
Up front you get a 15-inch M-Lok free float handguard, which gives you plenty of real estate for lights, grips, bipods, or a sling mount while keeping the barrel free floated for better consistency. The AR-15 stripped billet upper receiver is cut for 5.56/.223/.300 AAC with M4 feed ramps, and it pairs with an aluminum charging handle running a steel latch, a forward assist, and a dust cover. On the back end you'll find an aluminum buffer tube, a 3 oz buffer with spring, a steel castle nut, receiver end plate, an A2 style pistol grip, and a USA-made lower parts kit with the trigger group, springs, pins, and detents.
One thing worth knowing before you order: this kit does not include a stripped or complete lower receiver, and it does not include a bolt carrier group or stock. The receiver is the serialized part, so you'll pick that up separately and mate it with the parts here. Slap on a BCG and the stock or brace of your choice, and you've got a complete rifle. It's a reasonable way to spec out a build exactly how you want it, whether this is your first AR project on the bench or your fifth.
No, the stripped lower receiver is not part of this kit. Since the lower is the serialized part of the rifle, you'll source that separately and pair it with the parts included here. That gives you the freedom to choose exactly which lower you want for your build.
Beyond the stripped lower receiver, you'll need a bolt carrier group and a stock or brace to complete the rifle. The kit already covers the upper assembly parts, handguard, barrel, buffer system, and lower internals. Add those two pieces and you're ready to run.
The 16-inch M4 contour barrel is chambered in 5.56 NATO, which safely handles both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. The billet upper receiver is also marked for 5.56/.223/.300 AAC, though the barrel included is the 5.56 unit.
