The 45 ACP AR is one of those builds that just puts a grin on your face. There is something about a big, slow-moving pistol round running through a rifle-length platform, and this TacFire kit gives you the guts to make it happen. It is built around a 16 inch nitride-treated barrel with a 1:16 twist, which keeps things simple and reliable for the heavy 45 caliber projectile while the nitride finish holds up well against wear and corrosion inside and out.
Up front you get a birdcage flash hider with a crush washer already in the box, so timing your muzzle device is one less trip to the parts bin. The 15 inch slim M-LOK free-float handguard is the piece a lot of builders will appreciate most. It rides over the barrel without touching it, which helps with consistency, and it leaves you plenty of real estate to hang a light, a sling mount, a hand stop, or whatever else fits your setup.

You get a stripped billet upper receiver cut for AR-15 patterns with M4 feed ramps, the 45 ACP bolt carrier group, a Mil-Spec aluminum charging handle with a steel latch, a dust cover, and a forward assist. On the back end there is a buffer tube, buffer spring, a 45-appropriate buffer, the castle nut and end plate, a USA-made lower parts kit, and an A2 pistol grip.
