The TacFire MZ10073B is a purpose-built muzzle brake for 308 Win AR-10 platforms, and it does the two things you want a brake to do: keep recoil in check and steady the muzzle between shots. It runs a Krinkov-style profile that ports gas forward and to the sides, which is a big part of how it pulls the sting out of a hard-recoiling 30-caliber rifle. The spiral fluting isn't just for looks either. It sheds a little weight and adds surface area to help the steel run cooler over a long string of fire.
This is a one-piece design machined from heat-treated steel, so there's nothing to loosen up or rattle apart during recoil. The finish is an erosion-resistant black oxide that stands up to heat and blast better than a bare surface would, and it gives the brake a clean, no-nonsense matte black look that blends right in with a standard AR-10 build. At 2.60 inches long and 1.12 inches in diameter, it keeps a compact footprint on the end of your barrel without adding a ton of length.
The MZ10073B is cut for 5/8"-24 tpi threads, which is the standard pitch on 308 and 7.62 NATO AR-10 barrels. Installation is straightforward for anyone who has spun on a muzzle device before: thread it up over a fresh crush washer or shim kit, then time it to top dead center and torque it down. A crush washer gives you plenty of rotation to dial in the orientation while holding the right tension, and remember those are single-use once they've been crushed.

It's designed for 308 Win AR-10 style rifles and comes threaded in 5/8"-24 tpi, the standard pitch for 308 and 7.62 NATO barrels. As long as your barrel is cut for 5/8"-24, it will thread right on. Always double-check your barrel's thread pitch before ordering any muzzle device.
The MZ10073B ships as the brake by itself, so you'll want to pick up a 5/8"-24 crush washer or shim kit for installation. A crush washer is the easy route since it gives you enough rotation to time the brake straight while holding proper torque. Keep in mind crush washers are single-use once tightened down.
The Krinkov-style porting directs gas forward and out to the sides, which is what pulls the felt recoil down and keeps the muzzle from jumping between shots. On a 308 AR-10 that translates to noticeably faster, more controlled follow-up shots. Like any effective brake, it will add some concussion and side blast, so ear protection is a must.
Not at all if you've mounted a muzzle device before. You slide on a crush washer, hand-thread the brake, then use a wrench to time it to top dead center and torque it down. No gunsmithing is required for a standard threaded barrel.
