The TacFire MAR050S takes the guesswork out of building or refreshing the back end of your AR-15. Instead of chasing down a buffer tube here, a spring there, and a stock somewhere else, this kit bundles the full receiver extension package into one box. It is a solid pick whether you are finishing off a fresh build or swapping out a beat-up stock system that has seen better days.
At the heart of it is a Mil-Spec six-position buffer tube, which gives you adjustable length of pull so the rifle fits you, your gear, and whoever else might run it. The included stock slides on and locks in at six settings, and the buttpad adds a bit of grip against the shoulder. You get a 3 oz. buffer and a carbine-length buffer spring to keep the action cycling the way it should, plus the small stuff that always seems to go missing like the end plate and castle nut.

This kit uses a Mil-Spec buffer tube, which measures slightly smaller in diameter than a commercial tube at around 1.146 inches. If you have a stock built for a Mil-Spec tube, it will match up right. Just be aware that Mil-Spec and commercial parts are not interchangeable, so make sure any future stock you buy is Mil-Spec as well.
Yes, this is a complete receiver extension package. You get the buffer tube, the 3 oz. buffer, the carbine-length buffer spring, the standard end plate, and the castle nut, along with the six-position stock itself. The only tool you will really want is a castle nut wrench to tighten everything down properly.
It is designed for standard AR-15 and M4 platforms with a Mil-Spec lower receiver, which covers the vast majority of rifles out there. As long as your lower is standard Mil-Spec, the buffer tube threads right on. It works for both fresh builds and replacing a worn or damaged stock system.
