The M&P9 M2.0 Competitor HD is a Performance Center pistol, which means it comes from S&W's in-house custom shop with upgrades you'd otherwise pay a gunsmith to add. The foundation is a full-size forged stainless steel frame coated in Armornite, a finish that's harder and more corrosion-resistant than standard bluing. At 34.5 oz unloaded, the all-steel construction does a real job of soaking up recoil and keeping the gun tracking flat through fast strings of fire.
The 5-inch spiral-fluted barrel adds sight radius and gives the gun a slightly nose-heavy balance that competition shooters tend to prefer. The slide runs lightening cuts on the top and sides to reduce weight up front, which shifts the recoil balance point rearward and helps the gun cycle faster. Slide serrations are deeper and more aggressive than you'll find on a standard M&P, and the optics-ready C.O.R.E. cut is already milled in if you want to mount a micro red dot. Out of the box, the HIVIZ tritium/fiber-optic front sight paired with a blacked-out serrated U-notch rear gives you a bright, fast sight picture in daylight or low light without needing a dot at all.
The trigger is the flat-face M2.0 design with an enhanced sear for a crisper, lighter break, and the grip frame comes with four interchangeable palmswell inserts (S, M, ML, L) so you can dial in trigger reach and hand fit before you ever hit the range. The extended, reversible magazine release and flared magwell make reloads faster and more consistent under pressure, and a front Picatinny rail covers accessory mounting if needed.

Yes, the slide is milled with a C.O.R.E. optics cut and ships with the necessary mounting hardware. It is compatible with a wide range of popular micro red-dot optics. The HIVIZ tritium/fiber-optic iron sights are fully functional co-witnesses if you prefer to run irons or as a backup when running a dot.

Yes. The extended magazine release is reversible, so it can be set up for left-hand operation without any gunsmith work. The pistol includes four palmswell inserts in small, medium, medium-large, and large sizes.
