Surefire's X300U-A has earned its spot as the benchmark weapon light for a reason. It pumps out 1,000 lumens of white light through a precision TIR lens, giving you a tight, far-reaching center spot backed by plenty of surrounding spill. That combination lets you pick out and identify a threat at real distance while still keeping your peripheral awareness intact up close. It's the kind of output that positively lights up whatever you point it at and makes life difficult for anyone on the wrong end of the beam.
The body is machined from high-strength aerospace aluminum with a Mil-Spec hard-anodized finish, so it resists scratches, corrosion, and the beating that comes with regular use. It's sealed with O-rings and gaskets and carries an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it can handle a meter of water for up to 30 minutes without missing a beat. The LED is recoil-proof, so heavy calibers and repeated shooting won't cause it to flicker or fail. This is a light built to run for years.
Activation is ambidextrous and dead simple. Press either side of the rear toggle for momentary light, or flip it up or down for constant-on, all with a single finger and no need to shift your grip. The Rail-Lock mounting system lets you clamp it onto Universal or Picatinny rails quickly and pull it off just as fast, so it moves easily between a duty pistol and a carbine. If you want hands-off activation, it also accepts optional DG grip switches for pistols and the XT07 tape switch for long guns.
Running on two included CR123A lithium batteries, the X300U-A delivers around 1.25 hours of tactical runtime and reaches roughly 213 meters with a peak intensity near 11,300 candela. At about 4 ounces with batteries and just under 4 inches long, it adds serious capability without weighing your setup down. For a duty rig, a home-defense gun, or a range build, this is a light you can trust to work when it matters.
Yes. The Rail-Lock system attaches to both Universal and Picatinny accessory rails, so it works on most rail-equipped pistols and long guns. You can move it between guns quickly since it clamps on and pulls off without tools. Just make sure your handgun has a molded or accessory rail up front.
It delivers about 1.25 hours of tactical runtime on the two included CR123A lithium batteries. That's plenty for training sessions and defensive use, since a weapon light is typically run in short bursts rather than left on. The CR123A cells also have a long shelf life, so a spare set stored away stays ready for years.
Absolutely. The LED is recoil-proof, so it won't flicker or fail under repeated firing, even with larger calibers. The aerospace aluminum body is Mil-Spec hard-anodized and sealed to an IPX7 rating, meaning it survives a meter of water for up to 30 minutes along with rain, dust, and hard use.
Yes. The X300U-A accepts optional DG grip switches for pistols and the XT07 pressure-activated tape switch for long guns. These let you activate the light without changing your grip, which is handy on a carbine setup. Out of the box, the ambidextrous rear toggle already gives you one-finger momentary and constant-on control.
