The KM2-C is SureFire's drop-in bezel upgrade that gives your M600 Scout Light two jobs in one head. Twist it one way and you get 350 lumens of white light for target ID; twist it the other and you're running 120mW of infrared for use behind night vision. There's no separate IR filter to attach or lose, which is the whole point of a light like this, and the change happens on the fly without ever pulling the light off your rifle.
Behind the head is SureFire's proprietary TIR lens, which shapes a hybrid beam that throws out to distance while still spilling plenty of light to the sides so you keep your situational awareness. Peak beam intensity comes in at 12,750 candela with a rated reach around 190 meters, so it holds its own at medium to longer ranges without turning into a narrow hotspot. Power comes from two 123A batteries, giving you roughly 2.5 hours on white and close to 16.75 hours in IR mode.
The body is machined from lightweight aerospace aluminum and finished in a Mil-Spec hard anodized coating, here in a tan color that blends nicely with FDE builds. At right around 1.3 ounces and just under 1.8 inches long, it adds versatility to your setup without adding any real weight or bulk. The LEDs are regulated to squeeze consistent output and runtime out of every battery.
One thing worth knowing before you order: the KM2-C fits M600 Series Scout Lights, but it will not work on M600DF bodies or the newer Scout Light Pro series like the M340 and M640. If you already own a compatible M600 and want night vision capability without buying a whole new light, this bezel is one of the cleaner ways to get there.
The KM2-C is built for SureFire M600 Series Scout Lights and screws right onto a compatible M600 body. It is not compatible with M600DF bodies or the Scout Light Pro series like the M340 and M640. Check your exact model before ordering so you know it will thread on.
You just rotate the textured bezel to change modes, and it happens right on the weapon with no need to remove the head. There's no separate IR filter to attach or take off, which keeps things simple in the dark. Most bodies also give you an off position to help prevent accidental activation.
No, the two 123A lithium batteries needed to run it are not included. On a full charge you can expect around 2.5 hours of 350-lumen white light or roughly 16.75 hours in IR mode. It's worth keeping a couple of spare 123A cells on hand.
At 350 lumens with 12,750 candela of peak intensity, it reaches out to about 190 meters, so it handles medium to longer distances well. The TIR lens gives you a focused beam with plenty of surrounding spill for situational awareness. It's a solid all-around output for a Scout-pattern light.
