The Streamlight TLR RM 2 Laser-G is built for rifle and carbine shooters who want serious reach out of a compact package. The HPL face cap tightens the beam and pushes candela up to 22,000, which means a focused hot spot that reaches out to 297 meters without dumping brightness. You still get the full 1,000 lumens of white light, plus a 510-530nm green laser that's easier to pick up in daylight than a red dot on the wall. Between the LED and the laser, you've got three modes to work with: light only, laser only, or both running together, all selected with a dedicated toggle.
The big draw here is the dual activation. The RM 2 Laser-G runs off an ergonomic multi-function tail switch for momentary and constant on, but it also accepts a remote pressure switch that exits the port at a 90-degree angle. That routing keeps your wires tidy and preserves rail space, and since both switches operate independently, you're never stuck if one setup isn't reachable in the moment. There's also a safe-off feature built into the bezel that keeps the light from getting bumped on and draining your batteries.
