The Streamlight TLR RM 1 Laser is a compact all-in-one lighting and aiming system built for AR-15s, SBRs, AR pistols, and just about any long gun with a Picatinny or NATO rail. It pushes out 500 lumens of white light through an HPL face cap that concentrates the beam for a tighter, farther reach, along with an integrated 640-660nm red aiming laser for quick point-and-shoot accuracy. The whole package rides low on the rail so it stays out of the way of your other gear.
The standout feature here is the dual-switch setup. You get an ambidextrous push-button tail switch on the light itself plus a separate remote pressure switch that exits at a 90-degree angle, which keeps your wire routing clean and preserves rail space. Both operate independently, so if one ever gives you trouble, you've still got a way to light things up. A three-position mode selector toggle lets you run light only, laser only, or light and laser together, and a quick double-tap kicks over to strobe.
Runtimes are dialed in for real-world use: about 1.5 hours on the LED or the LED and laser combo, roughly 3 hours in strobe, and up to 60 hours running the laser by itself off a single CR123A lithium battery. The safe-off feature prevents accidental activation and saves your battery when the light is stowed. The body is machined from 6000 series aircraft aluminum with a Type II Mil-Spec anodized finish, topped with impact-resistant Borofloat glass, and it carries an IPX4 water-resistant rating.
Mounting is a one-handed job thanks to the snap-on and tighten interface that keeps your fingers well clear of the muzzle.
