Description

The Streamlight TLR RM 1 is a compact rail-mounted light made for carbines, PCCs, and other long guns where you want serious output without a bulky housing hanging off your rail. It throws 500 lumens and 11,000 candela down a 210-meter beam, which means it lights up a room and still reaches out when you need it. The engineered optic keeps a concentrated hot spot while spilling enough light to the sides for good peripheral awareness, so you are not stuck choosing between throw and spread.

What Sets the TLR RM 1 Apart

This version ships as a complete kit, and that is the big draw. You get the light itself plus a remote pressure switch, so you can wire up a pad on your handguard or just run the built-in push-button tail switch. Both operate independently, which is a nice bit of redundancy if a pad ever gives out mid-use. The remote switch exits at 90 degrees to keep your wire routing clean and preserve rail space, and a safe-off feature keeps it from turning on by accident and draining the battery in your bag.

Built to Take a Beating

The body is aircraft-grade aluminum with a black anodized finish, and it carries an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it can handle submersion down to a meter for half an hour. Shock-mounted, impact-resistant glass rounds out the toughness. It clamps onto any MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail with the included key kit, and the one-handed snap-on interface keeps your hand behind the muzzle while you mount or pull it off.

Running the TLR RM 1

Power comes from a single CR123A lithium battery, which is included in the box. You get about 1.5 hours of runtime on high and up to 3 hours in strobe mode, and there is a user-selectable strobe for folks who want that option. It is a favorite on compact builds like the CZ Scorpion and small SBRs where owners want plenty of brightness for indoor and close work without adding a bunch of weight up front.
