Description

The Strike Industries Strike Switch takes one of the most-used controls on your AR-15 and makes it work the way your hand wants it to. The toggle-style lever lets you flip the safety on or off while moving or repositioning without shifting your grip, and the extended arm doubles as a thumb rest and index point whether the gun is on safe or hot. It is the kind of upgrade you notice every single time you run the rifle.

What Sets the Strike Switch Apart

Strike Industries built this selector around the shooter's thumb rather than the other way around. The prominent lever surface gives you a clear tactile reference, so you always know where the safety sits without looking down. That fast, positive engagement is exactly why so many builders swap out a plain mil-spec selector for one of these on defensive and competition guns alike.

Built to Take a Beating

The levers are machined from lightweight aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum to keep weight off your lower, while the safety shaft is cut from high-strength steel so the working part of the selector holds up for the long haul. It is a smart pairing that shaves ounces where it counts and keeps the durability where it matters.

Dialing In the Strike Switch

This is a genuinely modular kit. It ships with the well-known Strike 60/90 shaft, so you can set your rifle up for a shorter 60 degree throw or a standard 90 degree throw depending on your fire control group and preference. It also runs fully ambidextrous, left-side only, or right-side only using the included end cap, which makes it a great fit for lefties, righties, and anyone who just likes a lever on both sides. It drops into standard AR-15 pattern lowers, though a handful of receivers like .308 pattern lowers with a shelf, the ATI Omni Hybrid, Seekins SP 223 Gen 2, and F-1 Firearms lowers will need modification to run it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the Strike Switch be set up for one side only?

Yes. The kit is fully ambidextrous out of the box, but it includes an end cap so you can run a lever on just the left or just the right side. That makes it flexible for left-handed shooters, right-handed shooters, or anyone who prefers a single-side setup.

What is the difference between the 60 and 90 degree throw?

The included Strike 60/90 shaft lets you choose your selector's rotation. A 90 degree throw is the standard mil-spec sweep, while the 60 degree option gives you a shorter, faster flip that pairs well with certain drop-in triggers. You configure it during installation based on your fire control group and preference.

Will the Strike Switch fit my rifle?

It drops into standard AR-15 pattern lower receivers with no fuss. A few receivers need modification to run it, including .308 pattern lowers with a shelf like DPMS and Bushmaster, the ATI Omni Hybrid, the Seekins Precision SP 223 Gen 2, and F-1 Firearms receivers. Check your lower against that list before ordering.

Is the Strike Switch hard to install?

Not at all. If you have swapped a safety selector before, this is a familiar job that most people can knock out at the bench with basic tools. The included shaft screws hold the levers in place, and everything you need to complete the swap comes in the package.
