Each band is molded from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber, the same tough material used in fuel lines and gaskets, which is why it shrugs off heat up to 226 degrees and holds up better than the office rubber band you were about to reach for. The 2-inch diameter by 0.60-inch wide band carries a cable channel that guides light and laser wires cleanly along your handguard. Flip it around and that channel rides on the inside or outside depending on your setup, and it drops right into M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, or 9 position so your rail stays slim.
Both faces of the band carry grooves and anti-slip texture, so there is no wrong way to run it.
