The castle nut and end plate are two of the most ignored parts on an AR build, right up until you want to take your lower apart and realize you staked everything in place. Strike Industries fixed that headache with the Multi-Function End Plate (MFEP) and Anti-Rotation Castle Nut (ACN). Instead of peening or staking the nut to lock everything down, this system uses a set screw, so you can pull it apart and reassemble it as many times as your build calls for. The whole thing is machined from ultralight 7075-T6 aluminum with a red anodized finish that stands out on the back of a lower.
The end plate is where the versatility lives. It carries three integral mounting options: a traditional sling loop, a loop for hook-style attachments, and an anti-rotation QD socket. Since the plate is reversible, you can flip it to orient the sling loops on whichever side suits how you carry the rifle. There's also a dedicated set screw that holds your takedown pin detent and spring in place during install, which means no more chasing a launched detent spring across the garage floor.
The castle nut is purpose-built to pair with this end plate. The anti-rotation design keeps everything seated without the old staking routine, and a set screw does the securing so the receiver extension stays put under recoil. When you're ready to change buffer tubes, stocks, or slings down the road, it all comes back apart cleanly. Keep the castle nut torqued to no more than 35 ft-lbs and you're good to go.
