Charging handles are one of those AR-15 parts most folks never think twice about until they run a suppressor and get a face full of gas. The Strike Industries T-Bone tackles that head-on with a patented gas-redirect system that you set up to vent gas out the left side only, the right side only, or evenly through both handles. That means you can push exhaust away from your face, which is a big deal on suppressed or short-barreled builds where blowback gets nasty.
This is a fully ambidextrous, latchless design, so both sides give you a solid grip whether you run the rifle right or left handed. Instead of a traditional spring-loaded latch, the T-Bone uses a clamping design that reduces wear on your upper receiver over the long haul. The trade-off is that first few charges can feel a little snug until things break in, so give it a good workout and it settles right in.
The shaft is machined from 7000-series aluminum, which keeps things light without giving up strength where it counts. The handles themselves are molded from Strike Industries' own PolyFlex polymer for a grippy, comfortable feel with a nice big surface area that shines when you're clearing a malfunction under pressure.
