The Strike Industries Short Pistol Buffer Tube Kit takes one of the most overlooked parts of an AR pistol build and turns it into something worth bragging about. At an overall length of 5.28 inches, this receiver extension shaves serious inches off the back of your pistol or PDW-style setup, which makes a real difference when you're running a brace or stabilizer and want the whole gun to feel compact and quick to handle. It's machined from 7075-T6 aluminum instead of the softer 6061 you'll find on a lot of tubes, so it holds up to the pounding an AR puts on this area over the long haul. It also uses a supported buffer retainer along with an anti-rotation tab that locks over the buffer retaining plunger, so everything stays put where it belongs.
The slick profile is designed to accept the Strike Industries Pistol Stabilizer as well as most popular aftermarket braces, giving you flexibility on how you finish the build. There's an integral QD sling socket at the rear for push-pull sling work, plus a QD mount in the end plate, so you've got attachment points without eating up rail space. Keep in mind this tube is built specifically for AR pistol stabilizers and uses pistol-length springs and buffer weights, so it isn't meant for adjustable carbine stocks. It drops onto any standard mil-spec AR-15 receiver, making it a straightforward upgrade for a build you want short, light, and running right.
The kit includes the tube, the PDW buffer weight, and the flat-wire buffer spring, but it does not ship with a castle nut. If your build doesn't already have one, plan to grab a castle nut separately so you're ready to finish the install.
