Strike Industries built this carbine-length pistol receiver extension for folks who don't treat their AR pistol like a range toy. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum instead of the more common 6061, it gives you noticeably more strength and durability where it counts. It fits onto any standard AR receiver and carries a black Type III hardcoat anodized finish that holds up to real use.
The slick, smooth profile is the whole point of this version. There are no ridges or index detents on the outside, so it plays nice with a wide range of aftermarket pistol braces along with Strike's own Viper Pistol Stabilizer. If you want a clean canvas to build your setup exactly how you like it, this is the tube that gets out of the way.
Inside, you get a supported anti-rotation buffer retaining plunger, which keeps everything locked up and cycling the way it should. It's designed to run carbine-length buffer springs and buffer weights, so it drops into a familiar parts setup. Just keep in mind it's built specifically for AR pistol stocks and stabilizers rather than adjustable rifle stocks, and it isn't meant for AR10 or LR308 platforms.
One of the handier touches here is the sling attachment. A QD socket is machined into the rear of the tube, and there's a second QD mount in the end plate, giving you flexible sling options for that push-pull shooting style a lot of PDW shooters prefer. It's a small detail that makes a real difference when you're running the gun with a two-point sling and want steady tension on target.
The Slick version has a completely smooth outer profile with no ridges or index cuts. That clean exterior lets you mount a wide variety of aftermarket pistol braces, including the Strike Industries Viper Pistol Stabilizer. The Rail version, by contrast, adds an integrated Picatinny section at the rear.
