Adding ambidextrous controls to an AR-15 used to mean expensive parts or gunsmithing. This Strike Industries release keeps it simple. It's a drop-in upgrade for any receiver built to accept a standard mil-spec magazine catch, and it gives you the ability to drop a magazine from the left side of the rifle. If you shoot lefty, run a support-hand reload, or just want to modernize a stock lower, this is one of the easiest and most useful swaps you can make.
The design is the most refined version Strike has put out. The aluminum button and left-side release bar are shaped low and close to the receiver, so they add function without a bunch of bulk or snag points. The geometry is purposeful too, giving you enough texture and leverage to hit the release with confidence while resisting accidental bumps. The FDE finish keeps things subdued and pairs nicely with tan or earth-tone builds, or just breaks up an all-black rifle.
The real win here is being able to run reloads from either side without shifting your firing grip. For competition shooters and anyone running a rifle hard, dropping a mag with the support hand keeps you fast and keeps the muzzle where it belongs. Righties still get the familiar right-side button, so nothing about your normal manual of arms changes.

Worth noting: it's built for receivers that accept a mil-spec magazine catch and won't play nice with ASC or Stag Arms GI magazines, so keep that in mind depending on what you feed your rifle.

If you're running a non-standard or proprietary lower, double check that it uses mil-spec dimensions first. It is not built for DPMS AR-10 pattern lowers.
