Description

The Streamlight TLR-3X in 1913 Slim is aimed squarely at the growing crowd of shooters running slimline carry pistols who still want a real weapon light up front. It pushes out 500 lumens and 6,500 candela with a beam that reaches 161 meters, so you get plenty of throw for target identification without a bulky housing wrecking the balance of a small gun. At just 2.75 inches long and a hair over an inch wide, it stays out of the way and slides into a holster cleaner than most lights this bright.

What the TLR-3X 1913 Slim Fits

This is the slim-rail version, so it is dialed in for the Glock 43X MOS, 48 MOS, 43X Rail, and 48 Rail, along with the FN Reflex and FN Reflex XL. The snap-on interface lets you mount and remove it one-handed while keeping your hands well behind the muzzle, and the kit ships with multiple ambidextrous paddle switch widths and heights so you can tune the fit and reach to your specific gun and grip.

Running the TLR-3X Day to Day

The multi-fuel setup is where this light earns its keep. Drop in a single CR123A for around 1.5 hours of runtime, or load Streamlight's SL-B9 rechargeable pack with its built-in USB-C port when you want to charge instead of swap. Battery access is through the face cap, so you can change out power without pulling the light off the gun. You get momentary, constant-on, and a user-activated strobe, all reachable from either side.

Built to Take Abuse

Streamlight went with impact and chemical resistant engineered polymer and topped the lens with high-temperature BOROFLOAT glass to shrug off recoil and hard use. It carries an IPX7 rating, meaning it can handle submersion down to one meter for 30 minutes, and it is backed by Streamlight's limited lifetime warranty. Pair it with a proper light-bearing holster that fully covers the trigger guard and you have a serious carry setup on a small gun.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pistols does the TLR-3X 1913 Slim fit?

This is the slim-rail model, built for the Glock 43X MOS, 48 MOS, 43X Rail, and 48 Rail, plus the FN Reflex and FN Reflex XL. It uses the narrow slimline rail interface, so it will not fit standard-width 1913 Picatinny rails. If your pistol has a full-size Picatinny rail, look at the standard 1913 version instead.

Can the TLR-3X run on a rechargeable battery?

Yes. The multi-fuel design accepts either a single CR123A lithium battery or Streamlight's SL-B9 rechargeable pack, which has a built-in USB-C charging port. The CR123A gives you about 1.5 hours of runtime, while the SL-B9 runs around an hour and lets you top off without buying new batteries. This model ships with a CR123A, and the SL-B9 can be purchased separately.

Do I need to remove the light to change the battery?

No. Battery access is through the face cap on the front of the light, so you can swap power sources without taking the TLR-3X off your pistol. That means your zero and switch setup stay put between changes.

Is the TLR-3X tough enough for everyday carry?

It is built for it. The body is impact and chemical resistant engineered polymer with a scratch-resistant BOROFLOAT glass lens, and it carries an IPX7 waterproof rating good for submersion down to one meter for half an hour. Streamlight also backs it with their limited lifetime warranty.
