The Stern Defense SD BU9 NiB ECHO is a complete 9mm bolt machined from AISI 8620 steel and treated with a Nickel Boron and magnesium-phosphate hybrid finish, which gives it a slick surface that stays cleaner and wipes down fast after a range day. It drops into both Mil-Spec and Glock-pattern upper receivers and feeds from Colt SMG and Glock magazines, so it plays nice with the most common AR-9 setups out there.
The headline here is the Echo trigger compatibility. This bolt was designed around single-stage triggers with short resets, so if you're running an Echo or a similar fast-reset trigger, it works right out of the packaging with no fuss. It's also compatible with the JP Silent Capture Spring once the rear center weight is removed, and it pairs with the Law Tactical folding stock adapter for those tight, compact builds. Standard AR15/M16 charging handles work with it too, which keeps your parts list simple.
Stern didn't cut corners on the internals.
