Load it up, rack the forend once, and you have two rounds ready to go with back to back trigger pulls before you need to pump again. With 2.75 inch shells you are looking at 14 in the tubes plus 2 in the chambers, which is a serious amount of 12 gauge in a gun that measures just 29.5 inches end to end.
The Gen II keeps everything that made the original a conversation starter and refines the platform with a patented polymer and aluminum frame plus a new barrel contour. The result trims weight while keeping the smooth, positive action the DP-12 is known for. Both barrels wear 3 inch chambers and are threaded for Tru-Choke pattern tubes, with spreader chokes installed from the factory that throw a wide, fast opening pattern at close range. Witness windows cut into the magazine tubes let you check your shell count at a glance, and a QR code on the stock pulls up the manual right on your phone.
A 13.75 inch top Picatinny rail gives you plenty of room for a red dot or backup sights, and the seven slot bottom rail comes with a vertical foregrip already mounted to help you run the action with authority. The safety and slide release are fully ambidextrous, and the synthetic stock uses a rubber buttpad with a dual spring shock absorbing system to soak up recoil. The DP-12 has two barrels fed by two separate magazine tubes. One pump of the forend chambers a shell in each barrel, then the single trigger fires the barrels one at a time with consecutive pulls. After the second shot, you rack the action again to eject both hulls and load two fresh rounds.

It runs both 2.75 and 3 inch 12 gauge shells. With 2.75 inch loads you get 7 rounds in each magazine tube plus one in each chamber for 16 total, while 3 inch shells drop that to 6 per tube. Witness windows in the tubes make it easy to check how many rounds you have left.
