The 22 Creedmoor is basically a 6.5 Creedmoor necked down to .22 caliber, and that lineage is exactly what makes it so appealing. It runs a wide spread of bullet weights, from screaming-fast lightweights to heavier-for-caliber pills, which is why it pulls double duty as a varmint and long-range cartridge. Light recoil, a flat trajectory, and the ability to buck wind have made it a favorite for coyote and predator hunters who want reach without a beating on the shoulder.
