The .300 Win Mag has been putting elk on the ground for decades, and the Model 2020 Waypoint gives that proven cartridge a platform worthy of it. Springfield Armory builds this long-action rifle in the USA and guarantees .75 MOA accuracy with quality match-grade ammo, which is custom shop territory from a factory gun. The 24-inch carbon fiber barrel keeps weight down where a steel magnum tube would wear you out on a backcountry hunt, and it wears a Mil-Spec Green Cerakote finish that shrugs off weather. Up front, a removable SA Radial muzzle brake takes real bite out of magnum recoil, and you can spin it off if you'd rather run a suppressor.
Everything starts with the Model 2020 stainless steel action. The fluted bolt rides dual locking lugs down EDM-cut raceways for smooth, repeatable lockup, and dual cocking cams keep the 90-degree bolt lift easy to run fast from the shoulder. The bolt strips down without tools for cleaning in camp, the bolt knob is removable, and an optimized extraction cam pulls stubborn magnum brass without drama. Feeding comes from a detachable 3-round AICS-pattern magazine, giving you 3+1 on tap and easy access to aftermarket mags.
The hand-laid carbon fiber stock from AG Composites is pillar bedded to the action and finished in a sharp Evergreen camo paint job. This adjustable version adds a 3-axis adjustable cheek comb, so you can get proper eye alignment behind bigger optics without stacking foam and tape on the comb. M-LOK slots up front handle bipods and accessories, and the TriggerTech single-stage trigger adjusts from 2.5 to 5 pounds with a crisp, clean break thanks to its Frictionless Release design. At roughly 8 pounds bare, this is a magnum you can carry all day and still trust to stack shots when a bull steps out at distance.
Yes. The SA Radial muzzle brake is removable, and the barrel is threaded underneath, so you can swap the brake for a direct-thread suppressor or a mount of your choice. Just keep in mind the brake does a lot of work taming .300 Win Mag recoil, so expect a bit more push without it if you shoot unsuppressed.
It feeds from detachable AICS-pattern long-action magazines and ships with one 3-round mag from the factory. The AICS pattern is one of the most common on the market, so finding spares or higher capacity options from the aftermarket is easy.

This version adds a 3-axis adjustable cheek comb to the hand-laid AG Composites carbon fiber stock, which makes it much easier to get consistent eye alignment behind larger scopes with bigger objectives. It adds a little weight over the fixed stock, but for a rifle built around long-range hunting, the repeatable cheek weld is worth it for most folks.
