The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy reimagines the classic 1911 platform with a modern double-stack configuration built around performance and practicality. Chambered in 9mm Luger, this commander-size design pairs a 4.25-inch forged stainless match-grade bull barrel with a forged steel frame finished in Coyote Brown Cerakote. The Prodigy uses a polymer grip module mounted to the frame and ships with optic compatibility via the Agency Optic System (AOS) plates; a HEX Dragonfly-compatible plate is included. For states with capacity restrictions, the Prodigy is supplied with two 10-round magazines.
