The Safariland IncogX is the holster that finally got Safariland taken seriously in the concealed carry world, and it earns that reputation. Developed alongside Travis Haley and Haley Strategic Partners as the 10th-anniversary evolution of the original Incog, this right-hand model is molded specifically for the Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0. It's a hybrid thermofolded design that carries inside the waistband, whether you run it appendix or behind the hip, and the shell is cut to clear both micro and full-size red dot optics without any fuss.
The body is Boltaron, a heavy-duty thermoplastic, wrapped in microfiber suede so the side against your skin stays soft through a long day of wear. That suede does more than feel nice, it wicks moisture and wipes clean easily. Reviewers who carried it daily kept coming back to the same point: it disappears on the belt. The mid-ride geometry is intentional too, leaving enough room for your firing hand to seat a solid grip before you clear the holster, which is where a lot of slimmer rigs fall short.
Retention comes from a passive lockup on the trigger guard and ejection port, and it's adjustable with a positive, audible click when the gun seats. The reworked clip strut accepts tool-free concealment shims in three thicknesses, 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8", so you can tuck the grip closer to your body and kill printing. The polymer belt clips open outward and slide down over the belt with a flexible finger tab, so getting the rig on and off doesn't take any wrestling.
This is a working holster that pulls double duty for detectives, plainclothes, off-duty carry, and regular EDC where a bulky duty rig would print or snag. Draws stay clean, reholstering is smooth as long as you mind your clothing, and the whole thing is built to the durability standard Safariland made its name on. If you carry an M&P M2.0 and want a holster you can genuinely forget you're wearing, this is a strong pick.
Yes. The IncogX has a sight channel cut to clear both micro and full-size red dot optics, so you don't have to run irons only. The channel measures 0.406 inches tall, which covers the vast majority of pistol-mounted red dots on the market.
It handles both. The IncogX was designed with appendix carry in mind and the suede-wrapped body is genuinely comfortable in that position, but the multi-positional clips let you shift it behind the hip if that's your preference. Plenty of folks run it in the standing, seated, and driving positions without issue.
The reworked clip strut accepts shims in 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8" thicknesses that install and remove without any tools. Adding thickness cants the grip in tighter to your body, which cuts down on printing. It's a quick way to tune the ride to your build and clothing.
This particular model is cut for the M&P M2.0 without a rail-mounted light. Safariland offers a separate IncogX version built specifically for the M2.0 with a light attached, so if you run a WML you'll want that variant instead.
