It's chambered for up to 3.5" magnum loads, and it will also run 3" and 2.75" shells. Like most inertia-driven shotguns, it cycles best with loads that have some authority behind them, so very light target loads may need a range session to confirm reliable cycling in your particular gun.
It's one of the easier semi-autos to maintain. The two-piece receiver comes apart quickly for cleaning, and since the inertia action doesn't vent gas and carbon into the receiver like a gas gun does, there's simply less gunk to deal with after a long day in the blind.
