Running a Salvo 12 on a Remington means you need the right interface at the muzzle, and that is exactly what this Echo Choke Adapter handles. It threads into your barrel just like a standard Rem Choke tube, but the business end carries the external mounting surface and locking ring the Salvo 12 attaches to. This particular version patterns as an Improved Modified, so you get a tighter spread that suits longer crossing shots and pass shooting while your suppressor stays locked up front.
SilencerCo machines these from hardened steel with a black finish, which matters when you consider the beating a shotgun choke takes with a can hanging off it. Install is simple: pull your factory choke, thread the Echo adapter in, snug it down, and mount the Salvo 12. Since the adapter itself carries the constriction, you are not giving up choke performance to gain suppression. Swapping between Echo adapters in different constrictions is also how Salvo 12 owners change their spread, so many folks end up keeping a couple on hand for different jobs.
This AC1308 model fits standard Remington Rem Choke threading, the pattern found on the 870, 1100, 11-87, and plenty of other barrels. Heads up that Remington Pro Bore barrels use a different thread, and SilencerCo makes a separate adapter for those, so double check which system your barrel runs before ordering. One shooting note worth knowing: stick with lead shot through Improved Modified constrictions, as steel shot and tight chokes do not mix.
At just a few ounces, this little piece of steel is the difference between a Salvo 12 sitting in the safe and one earning its keep on your favorite pump or autoloader. If your barrel takes Rem Chokes and you want an IM pattern under the can, this is the one to grab.
This version is cut for standard Remington Rem Choke threading, which covers barrels like the 870, 1100, and 11-87. If your barrel uses Remington Pro Bore threading, you need the AC1309 instead, since the two thread patterns are not interchangeable. Check your barrel markings or existing choke tube before ordering.
Yes. The Salvo 12 mounts to your shotgun through an Echo choke adapter, which replaces the factory choke tube and provides the external threads and locking ring the suppressor attaches to. Pick the adapter that matches both your barrel's thread pattern and the spread you want to shoot.
No, SilencerCo advises against running steel shot through Improved Modified or Full constrictions. Stick with lead loads through this adapter. If you shoot steel regularly, the Improved Cylinder version of the Echo adapter is the better pick.
The adapter itself carries the choke constriction, so this one patterns as an Improved Modified, a tighter spread that works well for longer shots. Swapping between Echo adapters in different constrictions is how you change your spread while running the Salvo 12, so some owners keep more than one on hand.
