The ROMEO-X SIG-LOC Compact is Sig's answer to the one thing that frustrates every optic-toting pistol owner: keeping zero. Instead of screwing down from the top like most sights, this one uses the SIG-LOC bottom-mount system to lock in from underneath the slide, creating five total points of contact. That extra grip means the dot stays put through recoil, drops, and the everyday abuse a carry gun takes. Around the green 6 MOA dot you get a fully enclosed and sealed 7075 aluminum housing, so debris and pocket lint stay out of the emitter where they belong.
This model is built specifically for SIG-LOC Optic Ready P365 slides, so it is not a drop-in for standard RMSc-cut guns. If your slide is milled for SIG-LOC, the payoff is the strongest lockup Sig offers in this size class. The bottom-mounted design also lets Sig run a longer focal length, which cuts parallax and cleans up the reticle so the dot looks crisp edge to edge instead of smeared or distorted.
Power comes from a single side-loading CR1632, and here's the part everyone appreciates: you swap the battery from the side without pulling the optic off the slide, so your zero never moves. MOTAC motion activation wakes the dot when you pick the gun up and powers it down when it sits still, stretching runtime to a rated 20,000 hours. You get 15 brightness settings, 12 for daylight and 3 tuned for night vision, so the green dot stays usable from a bright range to a dark hallway.
The low deck height lets you co-witness with standard-height iron sights, and at just over an ounce it disappears on the slide. An IPX-7 waterproof rating and a distortion-free aspherical glass lens round it out, and like all Sig electro-optics it's covered by the Infinite Guarantee. Green dots tend to read a touch faster for a lot of eyes in daylight, and paired with that 6 MOA size, this thing is quick to find under stress.
This sight is designed exclusively for SIG-LOC Optic Ready P365 slides, which use Sig's bottom-mount SIG-LOC footprint. It is not the same as a standard Shield RMSc cut, so a slide milled for a normal RMSc optic will not accept it. Check that your slide is specifically cut for SIG-LOC before ordering, and if you're unsure, Sig's optics compatibility guide will confirm it.
