The P938 has been a favorite in the micro 9mm world for years, and the Legion version is Sig putting their best foot forward on the platform. It keeps everything people love about the standard gun, the 1911-style controls, the cocked-and-locked single action carry, the all-metal build, and layers on the upgrades the Legion series is known for. The whole pistol wears Legion Gray Cerakote Elite over an aluminum alloy frame and stainless steel slide, with black G-10 grips sporting the embedded Legion medallion.
The trigger is the headline here. Sig fitted a precision-machined aluminum trigger that breaks clean and crisp, and it makes a real difference on a gun this small. You also get their X-RAY3 day/night sights, which are genuinely fast to pick up in daylight and glow when the light goes away, a big deal on a pistol most folks will carry every day. Front cocking serrations give you extra purchase for press checks, and the checkered trigger guard plus aggressive G-10 texture keep the gun planted when you're running quick strings. The ambidextrous thumb safety and reversible mag release make it a solid pick for lefties too.
Sig added an extended magwell to this model, which funnels reloads in faster and gives your pinky a little more real estate without hurting concealability much. The 3-inch carbon steel barrel and 5.9-inch overall length keep it easy to tuck away, and at around 17 ounces it disappears in a holster. Capacity is 7+1 of 9mm, and Sig includes three 7-round magazines in the box, a nice touch since most carry guns ship with two at best.
For anyone who wants a small 9mm that shoots like a real pistol instead of a pocket gun, this one delivers. The metal frame soaks up recoil better than most guns its size, and the fit between slide and frame on Legion pistols is noticeably tighter than standard production. It's a carry gun you'll want to shoot, not just carry.

The metal frame also tames 9mm recoil better than most polymer guns this size, so follow-up shots come easier.
Like a 1911, it's designed to be carried cocked and locked, meaning hammer back with the thumb safety engaged. The safety is ambidextrous, so it works the same for left-handed users. If you're already familiar with 1911-style controls, this gun will feel like home right away.
This model ships with three 7-round magazines from the factory, which is more generous than most carry pistols. It also accepts standard P938 magazines, and the extended magwell is designed to funnel them in quickly during reloads.
