The P226 has earned its reputation over four decades of hard service, and the XCarry Legion takes that proven platform in a direction a lot of us have been waiting for. Sig trimmed the slide down to a 3.8 inch match grade bull barrel with a 35/35 degree reverse target crown, shortened the overall length to 7.25 inches, and kept the flush-fit 18-round magazines. You get three of those steel mags in the box, so you are set for the range from day one. At 32.5 ounces, the alloy frame keeps enough heft to soak up recoil without feeling like a boat anchor on your belt.
The headline feature here is the AX2 double action, single action trigger system. It gives you two-way adjustability for both pre-travel and over-travel, so you can tune the break and reset to your liking instead of settling for whatever leaves the factory. The DA pull is smooth and predictable, and once the hammer is back, the single action break is clean with a short, tactile reset that makes fast follow-ups feel effortless. Pair that with the low profile decocker, X-Series frame with undercut trigger guard, Hogue G10 Legion grip panels, and a 1913 rail up front, and this pistol just fits the hand right.
The slide comes cut for the SIGLOC Pro system and accepts ROMEO1Pro, ROMEO2, DeltaPoint Pro, and RMR footprints, so mounting your preferred red dot is a straightforward job. Until then, the XRAY3 day/night sights handle low light duty just fine. And since the XCarry Legion shares parts compatibility with the XFIVE series, including slides, controls, grips, and trigger systems, you can build this gun out however you want down the road.
All-metal construction, Legion Gray Cerakote, front and rear serrations, and the Legion pistol case round out the package. This is the P226 for people who want hammer-fired refinement in a size that carries well and shoots even better.
