The 1911 platform has been around for well over a century, and there's a reason it refuses to go away. Sig Sauer has been building their own take on it for over two decades, and the 1911 XCarry is the most current expression of what that experience looks like. Commander-length barrel, stainless steel frame and slide with a bead blast finish, and a spec sheet that reads like a custom shop build without the custom shop wait time or price tag.
The slide is cut for a compact optic footprint using the Shield RMSc pattern, which means it's compatible with Sig's own Romeo-X Compact as well as a number of other popular micro red dots. The mounting is ultra-low profile, so your XRAY3 day/night sights co-witness right through the lower third of the optic window. Whether you run a dot or keep the cover plate on and work with iron sights alone, the XCarry is set up to perform either way. The barrel is carbon steel with a black DLC finish, and the frame comes with an M1913 Picatinny rail for lights or lasers.
The XCarry earns its name. The 4.2-inch barrel keeps overall length to 8 inches, and the grip profile, combined with LOK's custom black G10 panels, gives you a secure hold without the bulk. Front and rear slide serrations make racking the slide fast and positive. The extended ambidextrous safety and slide stop are accessible without shifting your grip, which matters a lot in a carry gun. The undercut trigger guard and serrated front strap give you a higher, more consistent hold that helps manage recoil, and the full-length steel guide rod keeps the recoil cycle smooth and reliable round after round.
The flat-blade single-action trigger has a crisp break that 1911 people will appreciate immediately. Single-action-only is exactly what it sounds like: you get one consistent, clean pull every time. It's not for everyone, but for anyone who has shot a quality 1911, it's hard to go back to anything else. Ships with two steel 8-round magazines, a stainless optic sight plate, and mounting screws for the Romeo-X if you decide to add one later.
