Seekins built its name on the original HAVAK Element, and the Element M3 is where all that experience lands. The heart of the rifle is still that aluminum-and-steel hybrid action that keeps weight down without giving up rigidity, but the M3 adds a patent-pending Quick-Change Barrel Collar, a three-lug bolt, and a short 60 degree throw. That short throw matters more than people think when you're cycling a follow-up shot with cold hands and a bull still on his feet. The bolt head is toolless and removable, and Seekins publishes open-source headspace and tenon specs, so the platform can grow with you instead of boxing you in.
The 20 inch carbon fiber wrapped 416R stainless barrel runs a 1:8 twist, which stabilizes the heavy, high-BC bullets that make the 6.5 PRC such a flat-shooting, wind-cheating hunting cartridge. The muzzle comes threaded 5/8×24 with a Hunter muzzle brake installed, and the action supports an extended cartridge overall length up to 3.14 inches in 6.5 PRC, giving handloaders room to seat long projectiles the way this chambering was meant to run. An integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail with a built-in bubble level takes care of optics mounting and cant issues in one shot.
The PH3 carbon composite stock gives you the feel of a traditional hunting stock with the practical touches of a chassis: adjustable cheek riser for a proper cheek weld behind bigger scopes, full-length M-LOK along the fore end for a bipod or sling mounts, and a slim profile that doesn't snag on brush or pack straps. The TriggerTech trigger is user adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds, so you can dial it to your comfort level. Finished in Woodland Shadow over an Armorer Black anodized action and backed by Seekins' no-questions-asked lifetime warranty, this is a rifle set up for hard country from the day it leaves the box.
It's Seekins' patent-pending system that lets you swap barrels on the Element M3 action without sending the rifle off to a gunsmith. Combined with the toolless removable bolt head and Seekins' open-source headspace and tenon specs, you can set this rifle up for different cartridges as your hunting needs change. One action, multiple calibers, is the idea.
You give up some velocity compared to a 24 inch tube, but the 6.5 PRC still has plenty left in the tank for big game well past typical hunting distances. The tradeoff is a rifle that's noticeably handier in timber, on a pack, and in a shooting position. The 1:8 twist stabilizes the heavy high-BC bullets the cartridge is known for, so downrange performance stays strong.
Yes. The muzzle is threaded in the common 5/8×24 pattern and ships with the Hunter muzzle brake installed, so you can remove the brake and thread on a compatible suppressor or other muzzle device. Just plan on picking up a thread protector if you want to run the muzzle bare.
It ships with a TriggerTech trigger that's user adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds. TriggerTech's design gives a crisp, clean break with minimal creep, which is a big part of why these rifles shoot so well out of the box. Most hunters set it somewhere around 3 pounds and never touch it again.
