There are lightweight hunting rifles, and then there is what Seekins has been doing with the Element line. The Havak Element M3 is built around their hybrid action, aluminum where you can save weight and hardened steel where the pressure lives, and this version chambers it in 25 Creedmoor, a cartridge that has quietly won over a lot of Western hunters with its flat trajectory, mild recoil, and high-BC quarter-bore bullets. The 20 inch carbon fiber wrapped 416R stainless barrel runs a fast 1:7 twist to stabilize the heavy 25 caliber projectiles this round was designed around, and it comes threaded 5/8×24 with a Hunter muzzle brake already on it.
The M3 generation brought some genuinely useful updates. The three-lug bolt with a 60 degree throw cycles fast and gives your scope's ocular bell plenty of clearance, and the patent-pending Quick-Change Barrel Collar means barrel swaps no longer require a trip to a gunsmith. The action footprint is shared across Seekins' current rifle lineup, so the platform can grow with you. A 20 MOA Picatinny rail with a built-in bubble level is machined right into the action, which is one less set of screws to worry about and a nice touch for long-range work.
The Seekins carbon composite stock wears the hand-painted Woodland Shadow finish and includes an adjustable cheekpiece, so you can get a proper cheek weld even with taller scope mounts. Full-length M-LOK along the fore-end handles bipods, slings, and whatever else you carry. A crisp TriggerTech trigger, user adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds, and a 3-round detachable magazine round out a rifle that is every bit as at home stretched out on steel as it is above the timberline.
