Seekins Precision built the Element Hunter for the kind of country that punishes gear, steep Idaho drainages, sideways weather, and long miles between the truck and the shot. Chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, this one gives you a proven flat-shooting cartridge with the reach and energy for elk, mule deer, and just about anything else you would carry a rifle up a mountain for. The 22 inch carbon fiber wrapped 416R stainless barrel keeps weight down without giving up stiffness, and the 1:8 twist stabilizes the heavy, high BC bullets that make this cartridge shine at distance. Up front you get a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle with a Hunter brake already installed, so magnum recoil stays manageable off a pack or bipod.
The Havak Hunter chassis is where this rifle separates itself. It carries like a traditional hunting stock, slim and snag free, but folds for packing, has an adjustable cheek riser to get your eye behind the scope right, and runs a full-length M-LOK forend for bipods, slings, and accessories. Seekins also added their Quick-Change Barrel Collar, so down the road you can swap barrels and run different chamberings on the same platform.
The Element M3 barreled action uses aerospace grade 7075 aluminum around high strength steel, which is a big part of how Seekins keeps these rifles so light. The three-lug bolt runs a fast 60 degree throw, pulls apart without tools, and the receiver wears an integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail with a built-in bubble level, one less set of screws to worry about backing out. The factory-installed TriggerTech trigger is user adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds and breaks clean.
The hand-painted Woodland Shadow finish looks sharp and blends in where it counts, and it ships with a 3-round carbon fiber magazine that supports extended cartridge overall length for handloaders. The 7mm Rem Mag has real thump in a lightweight rifle, but this one comes with a Hunter muzzle brake installed from the factory that tames a good chunk of it. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24, so you can also run a suppressor or a different brake if you prefer. Most hunters find it very comfortable to shoot with the brake on.
Yes, that is one of the standout features. The Quick-Change Barrel Collar lets you remove and swap barrels with basic hand tools, and the bolt head pulls out without tools so you can move between standard and magnum bolt faces. That means one rifle can cover multiple chamberings as your hunts change.
No optic or rings are included, but the receiver has a 20 MOA Picatinny rail machined right into the action with a built-in bubble level. That integrated rail means no separate base to buy or screws to loctite, so you just add rings and a scope and you are ready to zero.
