The P365X Komodo Anime (White/Gold) is what happens when a serious carry pistol collides with genuine custom craftsmanship. This isn't a factory gun with a splash of paint slapped on at the end. Shark Coast Tactical builds these around their Komodo aluminum grip module, swaps in a Zaffiri Precision threadless compensated barrel finished in high-polish gold, cuts the slide for optics, and wraps everything in a white Cerakote finish with a hand-drawn, cell-shaded anime graphic that has to be seen in person to appreciate. The result is a 9mm compact that holds 17+1 and punches well above its size class.
The Zaffiri Precision threadless compensated barrel is one of the standout hardware upgrades here. It uses a 120-degree port opening and a Ball-Vise locking system to redirect gas and reduce muzzle flip without requiring a threaded barrel. Testing has shown reductions in muzzle flip approaching 33-35%, which translates directly to faster, more controlled follow-up shots. The barrel itself is cut from 416R stainless steel with 6-groove broach-cut rifling and a 1:10 twist. That's match-grade territory on a carry-sized pistol. Paired with the aluminum Komodo grip module, which adds a touch of weight up front and features laser-engraved stippling for a genuine non-slip purchase, the whole package shoots noticeably flatter than a stock P365X.
The custom optic-cut slide is built around the Shield RMSc footprint, which covers a wide range of popular micro red dots including the Holosun 507K X2 and similar footprint options. Night sights are already installed and provide low-light capability whether you run an optic or not. Two 17-round magazines come in the box, so you're set for range time right out of the gate. The modified Picatinny rail on the Komodo grip module also opens the door to weapon lights designed for the P365 platform.
This is the kind of build that used to cost real money when done piecemeal. Getting a compensated barrel, aluminum grip module, optic-ready custom slide, and a unique finish all together in one package makes it a pretty compelling option for someone who wants a carry gun that performs and looks unlike anything else on the range.
A traditional ported barrel requires threads to attach a compensator, but the Zaffiri system uses a Ball-Vise locking mechanism with a single set screw, so no threaded barrel is needed. The 120-degree port opening redirects gas downward to reduce muzzle flip, with testing showing reductions of around 33-35%. It also adds only about 0.6 inches to the overall slide length, keeping the package compact.
The custom optic-cut slide on the Komodo Anime is cut to the Shield RMSc footprint, which is one of the most common micro red dot footprints in the compact carry category. Popular options like the Holosun 507K X2 are compatible with this cut. The optic is not included and must be purchased separately.
The Shark Coast Tactical Komodo grip module is machined from 7075 aluminum, which is significantly more rigid than a standard polymer frame and adds a bit of useful weight that helps tame recoil on a compact 9mm. The aluminum construction also allows for laser-engraved stippling that holds up far better than molded texturing over time. It replaces the factory P365X grip module and fits all standard P365X components.
Most holsters cut for the standard P365X will fit this pistol since it retains the core dimensions of the P365X platform. However, the compensated barrel extends slightly past the standard slide length, so it's worth confirming with your holster maker that their mold accommodates a compensated version. Kydex makers like Vedder, Tulster, and Tier 1 Concealed offer P365X options that may work, but checking comp-barrel compatibility is the right call before buying.
Yes, night sights come factory-installed on this model. They provide usable low-light target acquisition even if you choose not to run a red dot on the optic-ready slide. The rear night sight remains in place when the optic plate is removed, allowing for co-witnessing with a mounted optic if desired.
The design is hand-drawn and integrated into the Cerakote finish itself, not a vinyl wrap or sticker. Cerakote is a polymer-ceramic coating that bonds to the metal surface and is highly resistant to wear, corrosion, and solvents. That means the artwork holds up to regular carry and cleaning rather than peeling or fading the way a surface-applied graphic would.
